Just read that the oldest known wooden structure is almost half a million years old... found in Zambia. That completely rewrites the timeline for human tool use.

Remember when doctors used to prescribe smoking for stress? The 1954 Sloan-Kettering report said it was fine. Now we look at lead in paint, or asbestos in schools, and it's obvious how much trusted advice was just... wrong. Makes you worry about the stuff we're totally sure of today, like plastic everywhere or some new chemical. Feels like we're always one big study away from another huge "oops.

Best piece of advice I ever got: trust the studies that have been around for 20+ years, not the shiny new ones. Saves you a lot of regret later.
