The trade bead I found behind my grandma's barn in Ohio

Last month I was clearing out brush near her old property and spotted this tiny blue glass bead stuck in the dirt. Turns out it's a 17th century trade bead, probably from French fur traders passing through the area. I took it to a local museum in Cleveland and they dated it around 1680, which floored me since the house was only built in 1920. Has anyone else stumbled on something way older than the site where you found it, and how did you verify it?

Ask the local historical society, they usually know who to contact for dating stuff.
