Why does nobody talk about how fieldwalking can mess up your knees
I was out near a plowed field in Cambridgeshire last month and after 4 hours of walking rows I could barely stand the next day. Nobody warned me to bring knee pads or take breaks every 30 minutes. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of pain from surface surveys?

Did you try kneeling on a folded up coat or something? I've found that even a cheap garden kneeling pad makes a massive difference for the second half of a survey.
