Am I the only one who stopped showing up to 6am BNI meetings and switched to 2pm coffee chats?
For about 3 years I was at the Scottsdale BNI chapter every Thursday at 6am handing out cards to 40 people, and I walked away with maybe 2 real leads the whole time. After my daughter started school last fall I couldn't do the early slot anymore, so I started meeting people one on one at a coffee place on Camelback around 2pm, and those 45 minute chats have turned into actual referral work. Is anyone else finding that the smaller afternoon meetups beat the big structured groups, or did I just pick the wrong chapter?
