Can we talk about how referral groups have changed since 2019?
I used to swap leads over coffee at the Phoenix Chamber mixers, but now half my networking happens through Zoom happy hours and LinkedIn DMs. Anyone else finding it harder to build that same trust without face to face time?

Those Zoom happy hours feel way more forced than the old coffee meetups.

First time I did a Zoom happy hour, I spent twenty minutes trying to figure out why my co-worker's face looked so smooth. Turned out it was a snapchat filter he'd forgotten to turn off. At least at the coffee meetups, the worst malfunction was someone's latte foam mustache. My mute button got more action than my actual conversations that whole hour. I basically showed up, smiled awkwardly at my own face on screen, and quietly logged off twenty minutes early.
