PSA: I was handing out business cards at every Phoenix event for years

I went to a Scottsdale mixer last month and a guy told me straight up, 'I have three of your cards, you never follow up.' That hit me hard. I realized I was just collecting contacts, not building any real connections. I'd go to 4 or 5 events a month, give out maybe 50 cards, and never reach out. Now I only take 10 cards and promise myself I'll email every single person within 48 hours. Has anyone else had to totally change their networking follow-up game?
