Wasted $200 on a Phoenix networking event that was a bust
Signed up for a downtown Phoenix mixer last month. Paid $200 for entry. It was just 20 people standing around eating dry chicken. Nobody even shared leads or contact info. Anyone else get burned by a pricey local event?

Man, $200 for dry chicken and awkward silence? That's rough. Sounds like my last attempt at cooking a fancy steak dinner - ended up with a $50 hockey puck and zero flavor.

That $200 price tag really stings when you could have gone to a decent chain restaurant and had a decent meal for half that. At least with a bad steak dinner at home you save the money and just have to deal with the disappointment yourself. Sounds like that restaurant is betting on the atmosphere instead of the food, which never works out in the long run.
