My basement sump pump gave out during the spring thaw in Des Moines
Came home last Tuesday to three inches of water because the float switch got snagged on some debris. Cost me about $400 for a new pump and a full afternoon of shop vac work before I could even get the replacement in. Anyone else here ever had a cheap float issue turn into a whole flood cleanup? What do you use to keep your pit from grabbing crud?
