Can we talk about the $60 I blew on a "professional" resume review that just told me to add more verbs?
Paid a service in Chicago 60 bucks 5 weeks ago and all I got back was a Word doc with 3 comments like "add more action verbs," so what cheap or free thing actually helped your resume, or is it all a gamble?
Used to figure paying for resume help was worth it since they know what bosses want. Then a friend just read mine out loud and asked what I actually did at each job, and that did more than any paid review ever did. Google docs plus someone who'll be blunt with you beats the $60 gamble every time.
