DAE have to choose between a big raise and a job you actually like?
I picked the job I liked for $15k less, and honestly, the lack of morning dread has been worth every penny, so has anyone else made a similar trade-off and how did it work out for you?

Ever think about how much your free time is worth? I took a pay cut to leave a job that had me working most weekends, and getting my Saturdays back felt like an actual raise. The math on paper never tells the whole story, does it?

The math on paper never tells the whole story" is so true. I read something about putting a dollar value on your free time to make these choices easier. It really changes how you see a paycheck.

Totally get that. Left a higher paying gig for way less stress, and my mental health has never been better. The extra money just wasn't worth being miserable all the time.
