I finally chose between a Dyson and a Shark vacuum at the Target in Fresno last Saturday

I stood there for 20 minutes staring at the boxes. Went with the Shark because it was $80 cheaper. Got it home and it sucked up a whole sock on the first pass without choking. Pretty happy with the call so far. Anybody else stand in an aisle forever over a vacuum?

Stood in the same aisle at Lowe's for a good 15 minutes last year. Ended up going with a Bissell and it's still going strong with two shedding dogs in the house.

I mean, my experience was totally different - I grabbed a Hoover on a whim and it died after six months with just one medium shedding lab. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I feel like people have really mixed luck with those cheaper Bissells too.
