Just realized I hit 1,000 miles on my bike this year...
I started tracking my rides back in March as a way to get out of the house more, and yesterday my app showed I passed the 1,000 mile mark. I honestly didn't think I'd make it that far since I only ride a few times a week around the local park. Has anyone else hit a fitness milestone they didn't see coming?

There's something about those small, consistent efforts that really adds up in ways you don't expect, kind of like how saving spare change can eventually buy you a nice dinner. Congrats on the miles, by the way (that's seriously impressive for park rides).

@kimreed that spare change comparison is perfect because it really is like that. You don't feel like you're doing much but then one day you check and you've gone way further than you thought. The park rides thing is what gets me too because it's such a small loop but all those little laps just pile up over time. I bet if I checked my total steps for the year from just walking around the house I'd probably be surprised too. It makes you wonder what else is adding up in the background that we just aren't paying attention to.
