The week my old forum's 'Ask Anything' section actually worked
Back in 2012, I ran a small hobby forum with maybe 300 people. We had an 'Ask Anything' board that was mostly dead, filled with spam. Then one Tuesday, a user posted a clear question about fixing a specific model of vintage radio, a 1974 Zenith. Within 24 hours, three other members who had never posted before chimed in with step by step fixes, including a scanned page from an old manual. That sparked a chain of real, helpful questions and answers for the whole week, from baking to car repairs. It was the only time that board ever felt like it was supposed to. Has anyone else seen a community section suddenly click like that, even just once?
