Warning: I tried to answer a 'simple' question on here and it blew up my whole week

Last Tuesday, someone asked for the best way to clean a really old, stained coffee mug. I gave my honest take about using baking soda, and within an hour I had like 50 replies telling me I was wrong, dangerous, or stupid. It turned into this huge fight about enamel safety and vinegar ratios. I spent the next three days just trying to keep up with notifications, and I barely slept. Has anyone else had a totally normal answer spiral out of control like that?

I used to think that too, rowanellis, until my banana bread failed.

Honestly, the internet just loves turning a small tip into a big fight. My friend once mentioned she puts bananas in the fridge and got a full debate on fruit ethics. It's wild how that happens over nothing.

But what's the actual harm in refrigerating a banana, like does it explode?
