Why does nobody talk about how long it takes to unclog a drain with those plastic zip strips?
Last Saturday my kitchen sink in Boise backed up and I figured a $4 zip strip would fix it in 10 minutes. Two hours and three strips later, I was still pulling out black gunk and the water barely moved. I finally gave up, called a plumber, and he cleared it with a real snake in about 90 seconds. Has anyone else had a "quick fix" turn into a whole afternoon of regret, or am I just bad at drains?
