How long did it take you to figure out a can opener that just would not work?
I bought a $12 can opener from a store in Reno about two months ago, and it jammed on my first can of beans. I kept trying to force it, bending the handle and cutting my thumb, before I finally looked at the little instructions printed on the back. It turns out I had the gears lined up wrong for the whole time, and after 45 minutes of fighting it, the can opened in 10 seconds once I fixed it. I felt so silly for not reading that tiny paper first. Has anyone else broken something just because they skipped the instructions?
