I used to just guess when my rice was done, always ended up with burnt or mushy stuff. Last month I grabbed this cheap digital timer watch from a gas station in Tucson, and now I set it for every single dish, even eggs. It sounds stupid simple, but the act of pressing a button and walking away made me stop hovering over the stove entirely. Anyone else found that one tiny tool that just rewired their whole kitchen routine?
