My neighbor's 7 year old taught me more about gardening in 10 minutes than YouTube did in months
I was out back trying to figure out why my tomato plants were all droopy and yellow. This little girl from two houses over came by and said I was watering them at the wrong time of day, that they needed morning water not evening. She showed me how she checks the soil with her finger and everything. Has anyone else had a kid just casually drop some wisdom on you like that?

Ha! Same here. Neighbor kid showed me dirt needs a deep soak, not just a sprinkle.

My friend's daughter told her that singing to plants helps them grow, and her basil went crazy after that.

Pretty sure the basil is just messing with her because it knows she's putting in the effort. Plants don't have ears, they don't care about tone or melody. But the carbon dioxide from her breathing close to the leaves while she sings might actually be doing something @margaret99. Funny how a little human breath can beat any lullaby for plant growth.
