My shed door fell off its hinges during my own barbecue

Last Saturday I had about 15 people over for ribs and someone leaned on my shed to grab a lawn chair. The whole door just POPPED off and landed flat on the grass, one hinge was basically rusted through and the other screws stripped out. I had to hold it up with a broom handle and two bungee cords for the rest of the party while my buddy kept yelling at me to just use the front entrance. Has anyone else had a minor home failure turn into the main event of their gathering?

...and that's when I knew the ribs were just a side dish to the real entertainment. Honestly, your shed door becoming the guest of honor at its own party is a classic move. At least it waited until you had a captive audience of 15 to completely give up on life. Broom handle and bungee cords is a solid improvisation, but I'm surprised nobody offered to just stand there holding it like a butler. Next barbecue, just pre-rust the hinges yourself so you can control the drama.
