Spent $80 on a backup battery for my phone and it actually saved me this week
I finally bought one of those portable battery packs after my phone died twice during important calls at work. Cost me $80 at Best Buy and I thought it was a ripoff honestly. But this Tuesday the power went out at our store for like 3 hours during a rush. I was able to keep using my phone for the payment app and calling the electric company. That little thing paid for itself in one day. Has anyone else had a random purchase like that turn out way more useful than you thought?

Yeah that $80 paid for itself in one outage, best investment ever honestly.

lol honestly I used to be on the fence about spending that much on a power station but then my fridge and router were down for like 6 hours last summer and I was kicking myself. Ended up grabbing one after that and yeah, it's already saved me twice this year during storms. The fridge alone is worth it.
