That $50 'magic' deodorant stone I swore was snake oil actually works
I bought a crystal deodorant at Whole Foods last year mostly as a joke. For two weeks I smelled like nothing, which I thought meant it failed. Then I realized I just didn't stink anymore, even after mowing the lawn in July. My wife finally asked what I changed, and when I told her she laughed but admitted she noticed. Has anyone else had a cheap alternative beat out their usual brand unexpectedly?

The Thai crystal deodorant from Amazon for like 8 bucks was my eye opener. Took about a week before I realized my shirts didn't have those pit stains anymore. I just wet it and rub it on right after a shower, takes maybe 30 seconds. Tbh my wife was skeptical until she smelled my workout shirt after a few days and admitted it wasn't sour at all.

Dude @norag66, that's wild because I had the exact same thing happen with my girlfriend (she's a bit of a deodorant snob, honestly). She kept side-eyeing my little salt rock until I made her sniff my gym shirt after a full day, and she was like "oh, okay, I guess it works." Best 8 bucks I ever spent (though I did scratch myself with it once, definitely user error).
