The 24-hour flu shot clinic downtown actually worked
I called it a gimmick when they set up in that old storefront on 5th Street. Walked past it for two weeks, figured it was some marketing stunt. Then my arm got sore from a rusty fence repair and my doctor was booked out six days. Went in on a Tuesday around 3pm, got the shot in 11 minutes, zero wait, nurse was chatty and knew her stuff. Has anyone else found those pop-up health clinics more reliable than their regular office?
My sister went to that same spot on 5th and waited almost an hour, so your 11 minutes was pure luck. The nurse she got was nice but they only had one person working and a line built up fast. A pop-up is fine for a quick shot, but I still trust my regular doctor for anything more than that. Those places can pack up and vanish in a week, and then who do you call when something goes wrong?
