Camping in the desert showed me what astronomy photos are really about.
I used to scroll past star pics without a thought. Standing under that sky, I understood they're not just images, they're pieces of a huge place we live in.

Went camping in Utah last year and the stars were insane. Could see the Milky Way so clearly it felt like I could touch it. Those photos online finally made sense after that. They're not just pretty pictures, they're reminders of how small we are.

Yeah @phoenix_clark3, those photos online can be too perfect though, right? They're often edited to look brighter than real life. But seeing it for yourself is what really hits you.
