Debate: Do you stack multiple shorter exposures or go for one long single shot for deep sky?
I used to always just do one 10 minute exposure per filter when I first started astrophotography back in 2018. But after reading about the Orion Nebula core blowout issue I switched to stacking 3 minute subs instead last year. Now I get way better dynamic range but I lose some faint details in the outer nebulosity. What's your preference - lots of short subs or fewer long ones for DSO work?

Yeah stacking 3 minute subs is my go to now too. You get more usable data per hour than you'd think. The trick is getting enough total integration time 4 or 5 hours at least to pull those faint outer details back. I run 3 minutes on my 8 inch SCT with a reducer and it handles the core and the dim stuff pretty well if I shoot for multiple nights.
