Finally got a clear shot of the Orion Nebula from my backyard in Boise after 3 weeks of clouds
I've been trying every clear night since December and kept getting clouds or haze, but Tuesday night was so crisp I could see the Trapezium stars in my 8 inch dob at 50x. Took 40 subs at 30 seconds each with my DSLR on a cheap star tracker and stacked them in DeepSkyStacker, still can't believe the dust lanes showed up. Anyone got tips for pulling out more color without blowing out the core?
