My cat walked on the keyboard and somehow fixed my star trailing issue
After three nights of blurry shots from my backyard in Phoenix, I accidentally left the laptop open and my cat, Mochi, stepped on the 'bracket' key, which turned out to be a shortcut for exposure bracketing in my software that I never knew about, and it actually worked to fix the problem. Has anyone else had a pet 'help' with their astro setup in a weirdly effective way?

So my dog once sat on the remote and changed my TV to a nature documentary about nebulas, which was more helpful than my own research. Mochi figuring out exposure bracketing is way better than my usual method of just randomly pressing buttons until something looks less bad. I guess pets are just better at troubleshooting than we are. My dog's contribution was mostly moral support, which is just him sleeping on my feet while I mess up polar alignment. At least your cat actually did something useful for once.

What's your dog's name?

Forget naming pets. Call them what they are, which is tiny furry coworkers who never get paid. Mine basically runs the dispatch desk from the passenger seat.
