My first attempt at the Orion Nebula from my backyard in Tucson was a total blur.

I forgot to refocus after swapping lenses, so my whole first hour of shots was useless. Has anyone else made a simple mistake that cost you a whole imaging session?

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. It's like when you drive all the way to the store and realize you left your wallet at home. Such a simple thing just ruins the whole plan.

My dad always said forgetting things was just being lazy. Then last year I left my oven on for eight hours while at a library book sale. It wasn't about being lazy, it was my brain being too full.
