Showerthought: I had to pick between a star tracker or a new lens for deep sky shots
I chose the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer over a faster lens, and it made a huge difference with my old DSLR. My 30-second exposures of the Orion Nebula are way sharper now. Anyone have a favorite target for a beginner tracker setup?

That point about stacking exposures later is a good one I saw in a magazine.

Disagree on the tracker being the best first move. A fast prime lens collects more light and is way more versatile. You can always stack exposures later to fight the noise.
