TIL paying extra for the narrowband filter was worth it on 200 frames of Orion
I passed on the cheaper L-eNhance for the $250 Antlia on my 80mm scope and after 3 nights in my Bortle 8 backyard, the Ha data came through clean enough that I'll never go back, has anyone else found the premium glass makes that big a difference or was it just my seeing conditions?

Bought a used camera last spring and the guy threw in a cheap UHC filter with it, and my first shot of the Rosette from my driveway looked like a smudged pink blob. Swapped in a friend's nicer dual band the next week and the difference was not subtle at all, the wisps just showed up. Glass does matter, but I still wonder how much of that jump was just me finally getting my back focus right.
