Vent: everyone says shoot from a dark site, but my best galaxy shot came from my driveway in Fresno
I drove 90 minutes to a Bortle 2 spot near Shaver Lake last Saturday and got 4 hours of data ruined by high clouds, then two nights later I stacked 40 subs from my own light-polluted street and pulled out way more detail in M51 than the dark site gave me, so has anyone else had a backyard session beat their big trip?
