Vent: Guy at the star party told me my telescope was just for 'bragging rights'

He spent 10 minutes explaining why his 30-year-old refractor was better than my Dobsonian while I was trying to show my kid the Andromeda Galaxy and I just wanted to ask him if he's ever actually looked through one before?

At a dark sky site last year I just smiled and said "you're probably right" then turned back to my dob and the kid. Honestly that shut them up faster than any argument could have. Works way better than getting into a debate about which aperture gives better views of DSOs.
