Am I the only one who swears my dent puller got WORSE after I cleaned it?
Pulled a nasty door crease on a 2014 Civic last Tuesday and the studs kept popping off at maybe 4 out of every 5 welds. Cleaned the copper tip with a wire brush because it looked nasty, and it got worse, like the welds were barely sticking. Turns out I scrubbed off the tinning or whatever coating was on there and the ground was fighting me the whole time. Ordered a new tip for $19 and it grabbed on the first pull, no drama. Anybody else wreck a tool by trying to be too careful with it?
