Buddy in Phoenix told me to stop fighting with door alignment and just shim the hinges
Knocked 45 minutes off my next three jobs after I finally tried it last week, anyone else get handed a tip like that and wish you'd heard it sooner?

That thing about "just shim the hinges" hit home hard. My buddy Mike over in Tucson used to fight with his cabinet doors for hours until his old man showed him that trick with the hinge shims. He told me he saved nearly an hour on each job after that, no joke. I tried it on a set of kitchen cabinets last month and it's wild how something so simple can make you feel like you wasted all that time before.

Boy, isn't it funny how the simplest fix can make you feel like you've been doing it wrong your whole life? Makes you wonder what other easy tricks we're all still missing.
