Heard a guy at the parts counter say he never wears gloves for spot putty work
He was telling the clerk he likes the feel of the putty and that the solvents 'aren't that bad'. I've seen what those chemicals can do to skin over time. What's the dumbest shortcut you've heard someone brag about?

the solvents aren't that bad" is a valid point though.

Used to think the same thing until I saw what happened to my neighbor's garage floor. He spilled some solvent and it ate right through the sealant, left this weird bubbly stain that never went away. Made me realize that stuff is way stronger than it seems. Robertgreen is right about the long-term damage, you don't see it until it's too late.
