Hit 500 rust repair jobs and finally stopped hating it

I counted my work orders going back to 2019 and landed on 500 rust patches done in this shop. For a decade I dreaded every single one, but my last quarter panel came out so clean I got a little excited. Anybody else have a number that flipped their attitude about a job they used to hate?

I got a little excited" is the part that got me. So what was different about that last quarter panel? Was it the prep work finally clicking, or did you change your technique somehow? I honestly want to know if there is a specific moment where the rust repair just made sense to you, or if it's just pure repetition wearing you down until you stop caring. Because I have done maybe 80 of these and I still want to set the shop on fire every time I see cancer under the paint.
