I swapped my DA for a longboard to do that whole Camry hood and honestly? Never going back.

Spent 6 hours on a single panel with my DA before caving and trying the longboard on a gamble, and for a big flat surface like that it cut my time in half with way less orange peel - has anyone else made the switch and stuck with it?

Oh I've seen this topic come up before on a few forums but honestly it just sounds like a trend to me. A longboard works fine for big flat panels like a hood or roof but what about the rest of the car? You still need the DA for the curves and tight spots around the bumpers and fenders. And that time you saved on the hood you lose swapping back and forth between tools. Plus those longboards can be a bear to control if you're not careful with the pressure. I guess if you do mostly flat panels on old cars then sure but for a daily driver I'd rather stick with the DA and just take my time.

Ngl Tara you kinda changed my mind with the swapping tools point. Hadn't thought about the time loss adding up like that.
