Picked a stud welder over a glue pull for a dent on a 2019 Silverado

Tried the glue pull route first on a hail dent near the door crease, took 20 minutes and the paint spidered anyway. Swapped to a stud welder with a slide hammer, got it out clean in 4 pulls. Anyone else ditched glue for studs on crease damage?

Did the heat from the stud welder do anything to the paint around that crease?
