Rant: the $45 rust converter beat my $900 sandblasting job
I spent two days and $900 renting a rig to blast a frame on a 2005 F-150 in Columbus, and the rust came back in three months. A buddy in the shop swore by this cheap phosphoric acid converter from a supplier on Alum Creek, so I tried it on a scrapped bed last week. How many of you are skipping the blaster for chemical treatment on lighter corrosion, or am I just cheaping out on the wrong step?
