Redoing the same fender twice taught me about primer cure times

I laid down primer on a Chevy fender in my shop near Tulsa last month and rushed the paint after 20 minutes, it bubbled up bad by day two. So I stripped it, waited a full 8 hours for the primer to cure, and the final coat came out smooth with zero issues. Anyone else had a stubborn job that only made sense after slowing down?

Honestly, that might've just been bad luck with that batch of primer or the way it was applied. I've gotten away with way shorter waits than that and it's held up fine, just depends on the day. You might've overcorrected and now you're just wasting time for no real reason.

Did you check the temp and humidity when you rushed it, because that Tulsa heat can mess with cure times even if the can says 20 minutes... I learned that the hard way on a bumper and now I always wait overnight just to be safe.
