Skeptical about the $6 plastic razor blade scraper from Harbor Freight, now I owe it an apology
A guy at the parts counter in Amarillo kept telling me to try those cheap plastic razor blade scrapers on 3M adhesive and pin stripes, and I figured it would just smear glue around and scratch the clear coat. I finally grabbed a pack last Tuesday to pull old molding tape off a 2011 Silverado door, and the tape came off in one pass without touching the paint. I did use it with a little adhesive remover, so maybe that helped. Now I keep a stack in my box and save the metal blades for the really baked on stuff. Has anybody found a place where the plastic ones just will not cut it?
