Swapped my cheap DA sander for a name brand one last week

Been using a $40 Harbor Freight DA sander for like 2 years, figured it was fine until I borrowed my buddy's Festool for a door repair on a '22 Silverado. The dust collection alone made the job faster, and I didn't feel like my hands were gonna vibrate off after 20 minutes. Has anyone else made the jump from budget to premium and actually noticed a difference, or am I just being picky?

lol "felt like my hands were gonna vibrate off after 20 minutes" - yeah that hit home. I used a cheap Craftsman orbital for years and just accepted the numbness. Then I grabbed a used Mirka off Craigslist for like 150 bucks and holy crap. First time I sanded a whole hood without my fingers tingling I was mad at myself for not doing it sooner. The dust collection is the real game changer though, I never realized how much fine dust I was breathing in until I saw how little was in the air with the premium one. Plus it doesn't bog down when you lean on it a little, which my old one did constantly. Not saying everyone needs a Festool but the jump from bottom shelf to mid range is huge.
