Vent: Paint booth dryer sheets actually saved a $700 job

Customer's pearl white hood came out with fisheye from silicone contamination I missed, and three reclears made it worse. Tossed a Bounce sheet in the booth for 10 minutes before final spray, oils grabbed it, and the finish laid down flat. Anyone else use dryer sheets as a cheap silicone catcher, or am I the only weirdo?

Used to laugh at the old guys for that trick, figured it was just paint booth voodoo. Then I had a silver hood do the same thing to me, kept getting tiny craters no matter how much I cleaned it. Tossed a sheet in there on a whim and it was like the air just cleared up. Now I keep a box in the shop just for problem jobs, not gonna lie it feels cheap but it works every time. You ever try the dryer sheet trick on a wet base coat or only before clear?
