Watched a guy try to fix a dent with a heat gun and a bag of ice in a Kroger parking lot off I-35
So about a month ago I'm leaving the Kroger on the north side of Waco around 8pm and there's this dude in the far corner of the lot with an orange extension cord running out of his trunk to a heat gun, hunched over the door of a silver Corolla. I load my groceries and just watch because honestly I've got nothing going on. He heats this big crease for maybe two minutes, then pulls a gallon Ziploc of ice out of a cooler and slaps it on there, and the whole panel makes this loud POP sound that echoes across the lot. He jumps back like it bit him. Then he looks right at me and says "that's one, only nineteen more to go." Turns out he's a detailer, not a body guy, and he'd watched a video and decided it was the same thing. The dent was mostly gone but the clear coat around it looked like a map of Florida. I gave him my card and told him to call me before he tries the ice trick on the hood. Any of you ever get pulled into someone's driveway science experiment like that?
