Used to think it didn't matter until my setup crashed.

Yeah once i actually had to redo my whole cable management after a power surge took out my PSU. Took me a weekend but i labeled everything and used velcro straps instead of zip ties. Made it way easier to swap parts out later without pulling my hair out.
