Heard a new guy call an EFIS panel 'just a touchscreen with lights'
Overheard a trainee in the break room saying he could fix avionics the same way he fixes his phone. Then he asked why we still use those old D-sub connectors instead of USB-C. Has anyone else noticed more rookies underestimating the wiring side of this work?

Three hours is optimistic, I spent a whole shift crawling behind a panel once because some kid thought a zip tie was optional. Solidarity man, these kids have no idea what they're getting into.

just a touchscreen with lights" yeah until that touchscreen shorts out and you're tracing a wire behind the panel for three hours.
