I was wrong about using a multimeter for every continuity check

Used to think my Fluke 87V was the only tool for the job, but a senior tech at the hangar showed me how a dedicated continuity tester with a loud buzzer is way faster for tracing harnesses. Has anyone else switched up their basic troubleshooting tools lately?

Honestly, that's a solid point about the right tool for the job. So what other "go-to" tools have you found are actually slowing you down? I'm curious what else we might be overcomplicating.

Sounds like a real high stakes problem there.

Been in that spot before (it's stressful, right?). I made a list of the absolute worst things that could happen, which made the actual problem seem smaller. Then I just picked one small, easy step to start with, like making a single phone call.
