Just realized the difference in wire labeling between old 737s and new ones is night and day
Went from working on a '92 737 to a 2020 model last week and the wire labeling is completely different. Old bird had hand-written tags half faded, some just wrapped in tape with a number barely visible. New one has these crisp printed labels with barcodes. Took me less time to trace a circuit in the new one than to find one bundle in the old. Wonder if the FAA pushed for this change after all those miswire incidents or if Boeing just decided to up their game on their own. Anyone else notice this shift?

Had a truck once where the previous owner labeled everything with a grease pencil on duct tape. Spent three hours chasing a short only to find the label said "radio" but it was actually running the brake lights. So yeah, clear labels matter a lot more than people think.

Read somewhere that electrical tape labels fade and fall off after a few years too...
