Paid $300 for a fancy soldering station I barely use

My old Weller iron worked fine for 8 years but I got talked into a JBC station at a trade show and now it just sits on my bench collecting dust, anyone else regret upgrading when they didn't need to?

Hang on, is three hundred bucks really that crazy for a tool that's just sitting there? I mean, it's not like it's on fire or something. People freak out over pricing like it's some moral issue when it's just a price tag. You can walk away from it, no one's forcing you to buy it. And honestly, who even knows what 'not being used' means to the person who owns it? Maybe it was worth it to them at some point. Feels like we're making a big deal out of a thing that doesn't actually matter much.
