Rant: A plane owner hovered while I fixed the static system
This guy would not leave me alone while I was checking the static ports. He kept tapping the fuselage and saying he heard a rattle last flight. I had to stop and explain that noise isn't always linked to the instruments he was worried about. Ever had a customer distract you with totally unrelated stuff?

Do I ever get carried away babbling about my own projects when people are busy? I told my neighbor all about my shed foundation while he was mowing his lawn. It's a special kind of cluelessness I'm working on.

Wait but why do we do this? I mean, you know they're busy, you can see the lawnmower right there, but the word-vomit just happens. Is it because we're just so excited we can't help it, or is it some weird panic move when we see someone? Idk, maybe it's just me but I've done this too and then felt like a total fool after. It's like my brain short circuits between 'share the thing' and 'read the room'.
