Zip ties made my last avionics install way smoother.
I was fitting new units in a cramped bay and cables were everywhere. Used color coded zip ties to group them by system. Now tracing lines is a breeze.

Wait, you color coded the zip ties? That's so clever. Makes tracing lines sound almost too easy.

Oh totally. I used to think it was overkill until I had to trace a single bad cable in a full rack. Now I keep a pack of each basic color and it saves me maybe an hour of headache every time.

Color coding is a game changer, I learned that after spending twenty minutes trying to follow a black wire through a nest of other black wires lol. My first attempt just used whatever was in the drawer, so I had a red bundle for power right next to a red bundle for audio. Felt pretty dumb tracing the wrong system twice.
